| Divine Healing |
A portion of the biography of Jesus Christ by Dr Luke (13:10-17) was suggestive of the present state of the church setting. The hard and soft components of the church include:
1. the building
2. officiating minister
3. Jesus the invited minister
4. audience
5. the surroundings
At a particular Sabbath, a sister bent by Satan for 18 years was under the teaching of Jesus Christ; He saw her and healed her. But surprisingly, the officiating minister felt the church service perhaps was interrupted. Especially to him, healing- enablement - isn't meant to be received on the Sabbath day by humans. However, animals in danger can be helped. Isn't that dumb? But courteous Jesus called it hypocrisy.
Hmmm! I can see the difference between Brother Jesus and brother officiating minister; one regards the welfare of humans while the other one prefer animals. One is the shepherd of the flock of God- God's goodwill; the other is the shepherd of his own flock- animalistic urges.
Secondly, Jesus was a grown up spiritual brother, while this officiating minister was hypocritical thus a babe (1pet 2:1). Jesus was flourishing in His youth 'like a well-nurtured plant' (Ps 144:12a) and therefore He could bring the sister to taste of the goodness of the Lord as against the wickedness of Satan who bent her in the first place. She became someone that can stand erect, stand tall and upright 'like a graceful pillar carved to beautify the palace' (Ps 144:12b). Our officiating brother was full of law and order! I wish all male-children understand the order of life. As long as we are raked dry by youthful lust, cravings other than spiritual meal and excuses and as such bereft of the knowledge of God, the sisters pay dearly.
And like the officiating brother, some brothers are full of principles here and there yet all we can see is animalistic urges. They are dating several sisters in their hearts yet doing like a monk. I think we yet have Deborah in the land. Oh! Deborah, please call up and pray for brothers to blow the whistle of war against fleshly lust that has reduced them to naive officiating ministers full of temple history, rule and order but strangers to the cross. Else, even the temple service will soon cease! The wicked laws, policies, enacts, conventions, decrees, resolutions etc. that holds in the place of authorities, can't upright women like Esther influence it for the good of human family? The crumbling homes, isn't it the absence of the pillars?
Lord! Heal us! I confess on behalf of all male-children of the kingdom that we need you to heal us. You are our elder brother, help us. Don’t bypass us to heal the sisters alone, heal us all.
